doors simultaneously and provide you with Hour, Day, Week, Month and Year count
totals. You can have separate counts for each door and a combined
count when used for multi door sites. You can use a combination of two or
more RCU4 People Counter units to monitor any number of doors. The RCU4
People Counter
unit operates completely independent of your computer. Because count
data is accumulated and stored within the RCU4 for up to one week, there is no
loss of data should your computer malfunction.
There are two versions to choose from:
Cable System Cable System People
Counter Unit (Click for connection diagram) for typical two door People
Counter application. The cable system consists of an infra red Beam Unit that is mounted to look
across the doorway and the Footprint RCU4 People Counter unit, located next to your
computer, which connects to either a serial or USB port on your computer.
A small 3 wire cable has to be run from the Beam Unit back to the RCU4 People
Counter
unit.
Wireless System
Wireless System People

Counter application. The Wireless system consists of an infra red Beam Unit that is mounted to
look across the doorway and connects to a small wireless transmitter unit and
power plug pack. The Footprint RCU4RX People Counter unit, with built in
receiver, is located next to your computer which connects to either a serial or
USB port on your computer.

The Footprint system comes complete with some very easy to use windows based software to run
on your computer that allows you to extract the count data from the RCU4 People
Counter whenever you wish. The People Counter data is displayed on screen in a 'hours

It is automatically saved to
the hard drive within your computer in a user friendly csv format for either
viewing as historical data or with a standard spread sheet programs like Access
or Excel to do further statistical analysis on.

Manual or Fully Automatic operation
The Footprint People Counter system can be used in the manual or automatic mode. In the
manual, you simply click the download button on the Footprint software running
on your computer, to extract the data from the RCU4 People Counter whenever you wish.
In the automatic mode you simply set your computers 'task scheduler' program to
run the Footprint software either daily or weekly as desired. The RCU4
People Counter data will be downloaded and saved to your hard drive automatically for later
viewing at your convenience.
Multi Store operation
Using the RCU4 People Counter in the automatic mode is ideal for multi store operation.
The Head Office computer can easily be set up to collect the count data csv file
that is saved on each stores hard drive each night allowing the Head Office
computer to collect valuable People Count data along with sales data from each
of the individual stores. This is an ideal way to compare store efficiency
