The "Digit Call" Nurse Call
System has an array of
different tones to alert the staff to various different situations.
Some of these tones function as follows:
Nurse Call -
This is a two tone sound which is activated by the patient. It starts
off as a short tone once every fifteen seconds but gets longer and
longer until answered.
Emergency Call - This is a
continuous repeating tone that is activated by a staff member.
External door open Call - A two
toned beep, low frequency tone which is activated by opening an
external door.
Also included are tones for the reception desk and
front door bell. all tones except the emergency tone
can be enabled or disabled independently.
When the "Digit Call" Nurse Call System is connected into a computer
logging system the various different tones can be programmed to enable
or disable themselves automatically, ie. an external door tone can be
programmed to be disabled during the day and enabled during the night.
